Reply to waybills by pressing button twice

Digital messages are sent between transport manager and driver at Dalafrakt. Co-Driver from Vehco makes the company’s communications mobile. Dalafrakt’s truck centre installed Vehco’s Co-Driver in 125 trucks and machines in spring 2008. The result was better order handling and less administration. Writing consignment notes and invoices manually is now very rare. The company’s better overview of orders and less administrative work, were also reasons why Dalafrakt invested in Co-Driver from Vehco. 

Before Dalafrakt chose Co-Driver the company carried out a careful evaluation to find the system that suited them best. The demands included user-friendliness and better working environments for drivers and administrative staff. Dalafrakt now has a solution where communication between office and trucks takes place by pressing a couple of buttons on a hand-held computer. Transport managers sit in the office with a map in front of them where they can see all trucks in service and see which truck is closest to the customer for the next assignment. The system allows a more effective use of the trucks, meaning that transport managers and drivers can handle bigger volumes and administration has been simplified.
