Moving from analogue to digital order management
To digitalize the order managing, Tysslinge firm of haulage has chosen to invest in Vehco’s vehicle computer Co-Driver. The haulage firm has 41 trucks consisting of hook lifts for handling containers, concrete trucks and crane trucks.
Alystra sends the information
The transport conduct is today managed through freight bills handed out in the morning alternatively the orders are made by phone. The goal with investing in vehicle computers is to send all this information digitally, using the Co-Driver, between Alystra and Tysslinge firm of haulage’s transport conduct system.
Tysslinge firm of haulage will also use the services fuel follow-up, economic driving, positioning and tracking.
-I believe that the investment will pay off really quickly since the Co-Driver is an aid for the chauffeurs and it contributes to them driving more economically. If we put some effort into it, I believe that we can save plenty of fuel and then it has paid off itself, Tobias Tegelby tells us.
-So far, we have only installed Co-Driver in five trucks, but I have already noticed the efficiency. Before we had Co-Driver and you got a new order during the day, you had to phone all the trucks and ask who is closest to pick up the container. Now I do not have to do that since I can locate the cars on the map thanks to the positioning service, and therefore I can easily know which truck is closest. It works great, says Tobias Tegelby.
After the summer they will be up and running with the ordering functions and the purpose is to install Co-Driver in all trucks which are in need of transportation management.
