Vecho grows heavily through acquisition of Comlog

Vecho, the leading supplier of mobile data communication to the haulage business, acquired the leading Danish supplier of mobile data; Comlog A/s, the 29th of September 2009.

Through the acquisition, Vecho becomes the largest supplier of mobile data communication in the Nordic Regions and a significant party on the European market. Vehco’s and Comlog’s products contribute to an increased transportation economy by fuel savings, transport follow-up, order management, time review, etc. By linking the customers PDA:s’ together with the customer’s business systems, competitive advantages are created as well as costs decreases and the customers environmental objectives are reached easier.

The vehicle computer Co-Driver was installed in 25 trucks at Kaj Johansson’s firm of haulage in Vännäs in february 2009. Through integration between the Co-Driver and Kaj Johansson’s transport system the order information can be dealt with digitally. By installation of Vehco’s vehicle computer, Co-Driver, Arne Mohlin’s firm of haulage has decreased the fuel consumption from 5,7 litres per ten kilometres to 4,5 litres per 10 kilometres.

-We have saved enormous amounts of money, says a lyrical Eddie Mohlin, associate with his father, mother and sister in Arne Mohlin’s firm of haulage. It was during the truck fair in Elmia, Jököping 2004, they first came in touch with Vehco and after that it became interesting to digitalize the organisation with Vehoc’s vehicle computer.

Connected with vehicle computers in all trucks

The 24th of May 2008, the truck central, Eslöv-Hörby, installed Vehco’s hand held computers Co-Driver. The 28th of Mars 2009 all of the fleet’s 135 trucks had the Co-Driver installed.

The reason for the truck central Eslöv-Hörby to invest in hand held computers is that it is the right time to do so. Since the business is being more and more digitalized it is important to keep up to be able to keep the leading edge as a competitive company.

Vehco grows heavily despite recession

Despite the recession Vehco has had their best quarter and year ever.

In the middle of the fall’s heavily recession, Vehco went against the current and made their best quarter ever for the period October to December 2008. The annual Turnover landed on 50 millions SEK, an increase of well over 60% compared to 2007. The latest big order from Reaxcer, with delivery starting in the beginning of 2009, also meant that the heavily growth is expected to continue.

Magnus Orrebrant accedes as new chief executive at Vecho at the end of the year. Magnus supersedes Gösta Blomqvist who has chosen to quit at the company.

Magnus Orrebrant has a background of many years from leading positions within international technical companies as Q-Matic, Ascom Tateco and Volvo Lastvagnar. That very background fits Vehco perfect at the moment since they are in a very expansive phase, both on the Swedish and international market.
